Luton airport is located off Junction 10 off the M1. Unfortunately this stretch of the M is nearly always very busy and virtually grid locked early morning and evening and customers should add at least an hour to their journey time. Due to Easyjet passengers are prepared to travel considerable distances to take advantage of low fares and the catchment area for Luton airport has increased substantially. For drivers traveling a long distance we recommend that they bear the following in mind.

1) Allow plenty of time to get to the car park.
2) Make use of a RAC or AA route planner.
3) Make sure there are no major roadworks.
4) Check the weather forecast, heavy rain alone can slow the motorway down to a snail pace.
